SunAcid Overview

This is an acid based concrete stain that is designed to add permanent color to concrete surfaces.

The color often resembles granite or marble as it is a mottled, translucent, natural, and earthy toned color.  The stain becomes a permanent part of the concrete, and does not peel off or crack, because it reacts with the lime in the concrete.

Features and benefits:  This is a permanent color solution. SunAcid is colorfast. It does not fade in UV light, making it ideal for exterior surfaces.

Where to use it:  SunAcid can be used in a range of exterior or interior decorative concrete applications.

How it’s done:  SunStain is applied in a variety of ways. The most common is to spray the material onto the surface. Once sprayed on, it can be left as is, or brushed into the surface with a broom.  Once the material has reacted, the floor must then be neutralized and cleaned.  Although acid stains do not always need to be sealed, an unsealed surface could wear and will not have the same bold look and depth of color as a sealed surface.
